I read this article about the city of Anderson tearing down 18 homes. Now the article says the homes are foreclosed so I am not sure how the city can tear down the bank's homes but judging by the pictures and the locations it is no surprise if the banks let the homes go for back taxes.

But the reason behind this is a good one. It is to improve neighborhoods and build on the city’s model block concept. And with the renewal taking place in downtown Anderson, it is good to see that all areas of the city are being looked at.

South Anderson Post Office Might Close
Posted October 15, 2009 by mrbrian

I read this article today and it really got my blood pressure up. What are they thinking? If a Post Office in Anderson has to be closed, why would it be the one on this side of town? With my office right down the street from this post office on S Main, we really are one of the few real estate companies that are located on this side of town. So it really hit home. Sometimes this side of Anderson gets treated like the proverbial red headed step child.

And since this post office is located in one of the most popular shopping centers on this side of town, it is super convenient for people when they are running errands. Not everybody wants to go to Clemson Blvd to do their shopping!

Post office officials have told the residents they should call their congressional representatives if they want to advocate for keeping their local post office open. So please take the time to call or email every elected official you can and tell them South Anderson is important and has people that vote!

Unless you get involved, then you will not have any right to complain if they do close this Post Office!

And this same article said they are not looking at closing the North Anderson Post Office. Why not?

Hookers on south main street
Posted September 24, 2009 by Ziggy

Yup i knew everyone would look if it said hookers lol.

Now, everyone knows about the hookers that live in the lil boarded up house on the rite on main street.  such an eysore.. and makes you wonder we ride by all the time and theirs always people sittin outside and inside of that run down place.

And main street is a busy road.. Now u would think the police have to see this.. common sense say's their not renting it but they are always their.

I just assumed ( like a dumbass) that maybe the cops didnt see them. cuz i couldn't get it through my head why the f^&* they would let that happen.. Knowing they could do somethin.

Then today we was riding. and what do u know a cop rides real slow  wid 2 ho's sitting out their, then turns on the road rite next to them.. and never looked or nuttin.. but here's the catch.. u can't just not see them..

So my quistion is.. why do they know about that and still do nuthin.. I just can't see why they would let them ho's and more than likely drugs be right their.  yet if it was one of us normal people they would bust our ass quick..

I know all the police officers aren't like that. i am freinds with a few.. But i just don't understand why our mayor puts up with this shit.. anyway whats is ya'lls take on this BS
